Surgery we rehabilitate

Knee & hip surgery

Total knee and hip replacement, ACL reconstruction, meniscal surgery and hip arthroscopy — restoring range, strength and confident walking.

Shoulder surgery

Rotator cuff repair, subacromial decompression and stabilisation, with staged movement and strength within your protocol.

Foot, ankle & spinal surgery

Achilles repair, ankle surgery and spinal procedures, rebuilding load tolerance, balance and everyday function.

Understanding your condition

Following your protocol

Every surgeon sets restrictions on movement, weight-bearing and loading for good reason. We work to those instructions and adjust the pace to your swelling, range and strength rather than a generic timetable.

Beyond the early weeks

Many people are discharged once they can walk or lift the arm, long before strength has returned. We continue rehabilitation through the strength and capacity phases so you return to work, sport and exercise properly, not just adequately.

When can I start physiotherapy after surgery?
Often within days, depending on the operation and your surgeon's protocol. Early guided movement and strength work usually improve the final outcome; we work within whatever restrictions your surgeon has set.
Do you follow my surgeon's protocol?
Yes. Bring any post-operative instructions or protocols to your first appointment and we follow them, adapting the detail to how your recovery is actually progressing.
Which operations do you rehabilitate?
Knee and hip replacement, ACL and meniscal surgery, shoulder repairs and decompression, Achilles and ankle surgery, and spinal surgery rehabilitation.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can self-refer directly for assessment and treatment.
